The Vertus MLA 801A is a high-frequency module for the MLA column system, belonging to the Vertus MLA series. This module takes advantage of both digital and mechanical pointing control to achieve full-range directivity control. It consists of 8 B&C neodymium 20mm (8") drivers with a 25mm (1") coil on a waveguide. The control can be done via PC and software or via the rear panel. Additionally, Vertus MLA 801A is equipped with a DSP processor for digital pointing management and signal processing, with 8 available presets.
The full-range combined digital/mechanical pointing system ranges from +5 to -25° with a lobe width of 5° to 25/40°, offering a 90° horizontal dispersion. The extruded aluminum cabinet with powder coating is designed to ensure great modularity of the system thanks to the upper and lower coupling system for MLA series modules. Vertus MLA 801A represents a professional and technologically advanced solution for full-range directivity control. The mechanical control part is entrusted to 8 hybrid type stepper motors, each of which is responsible for rotating each waveguide in steps of 0.01° on the horizontal axis. The extruded aluminum cabinet with powder coating ensures maximum strength and durability. Thanks to its modular structure, it is possible to customize the system to meet one's own needs, always obtaining high-quality sound and an uncompromising listening experience.
It is possible to implement any type of radiation pattern within the maximum rotation range of the waveguides, which ranges from +35 to -35° relative to the horizontal axis.
